EMORI is our desktop robot for practice by voice. It sits on the table where frontline staff already take their breaks, so they can rehearse a hard conversation between shifts. It has no screen, and nobody has to log in.

Where it is running
Administrative staff at a hospital are usually the first people a patient or a relative speaks to, often when that person is frightened, in pain or out of patience. Clinical staff rehearse those moments, but reception rarely gets the chance.
EMORI is one of the tools we have built. The same kind of practice also runs in the browser.

What a session with EMORI is like
Say a topic, and it starts
Staff walk up, say which situation they want to practice, and the conversation begins. Nothing to type, nothing to search.
No screen
It answers with its voice and with small movements of its head and body.
Nobody has to say who they are
Staff can practice anonymously. EMORI does not recognize anyone from their face or voice.
A short summary at the end
When the conversation ends, EMORI speaks a short summary of how it went, out loud.
